Chrome Dropping Support for Mac OS 10.7 & 10.8, how to Upgrade?

iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011), OS X Lion (10.7.5), 4GB RAM

We are getting a message that MAC OS 10.7 and 10.8 will no longer be supported using Chrome. Can you tell me:

1. what OS version to update to that is compatible with my computer (IMAC Mid 2011; 4 GB of memory currently with MAC OSX Lion 10.7.5)

2. Once you know which OS 10 version my computer is compatible with, will it be supported using Chrome?

3. Can you tell step by step how to update to the best OS 10 Version compatible with my computer.
